This behavioral health service is provided to individuals based on a presenting problem that requires specific interventions to help address individual needs. The length of treatment depends on the areas of need and the goals identified in the treatment plan. Treatment approaches may consist of interventions to help resolve issues of trauma, cognitive behavioral therapy, culture centered practices, strength based strategies among other evidenced based treatment approaches.
Individual therapy is intended to develop strategies and methods to manage emotions and feelings that are usually out of a person's control.
In addition to individual psychotherapy MWW collaborates with medical providers in the community to provide comprehensive psychiatric services, including diagnostic evaluation, medication management and treatment.
